Some things are simply meant to be.

When my partner-in-crime Sincerely, Sam's Cakes and I dreamed up our two-day Italian-inspired wedding editorial at Villa Toscana, one thing was non-negotiable: the love had to be real. We wanted more than beautiful faces playing a part. We wanted genuine chemistry, spontaneous laughter and two people who would see the whole experience as one rather fabulous date.

So, in a moment of unexpected bravery, I stopped a gorgeous couple walking past me at Westfield. Complete strangers. They turned out to be the sweetest humans, and thankfully, after reviewing my portfolio, they said yes.

What followed was two days of fashion, flowers, incredible food, music and a little *la dolce vita*, brought to life by an extraordinary team of creatives. But at the heart of it all were Nico and Carla, simply being themselves and very much in love.

Two months later, Nico and Carla got engaged for real, in Italy of all places, and are now planning their own wedding.

I guess my love radar was pretty spot on that day.
